PARK’S POLICies
-
Park co-chairs the Atlanta Affordable Housing subcommittee. Our priority is increasing affordable housing units in our communities for better outcomes. We just secured state tax relief for supportive housing on Murphy Avenue. We untangled gaps in HOPWA funding, ended homestead exemption renewals and provided lease fee removals for domestic violence victims. Together, we can keep our neighborhoods community-owned and affordable.

Park is a pre-school teacher. We have finally fully funded our QBE formula and invested in literacy programs. We just voted for the public awareness campaign for computer science education and are pushing for comprehensive sexual education. By amplifying the voices of the young community leaders, their magnanimous contributions to the state of Georgia can be heard!

Park is a doula. She knows that it is imperative that we protect and increase access to quality affordable healthcare. We modeled the language for the Georgia Department of Public Health clinic protocols on HIV and secured funding for linkage to care. Our successful bills have expanded postpartum Medicaid and provided cash flow services to families. By voting to fund work in maternal mortality disparities in Georgia, we will all succeed.
